The housing and lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit so moisture can’t get in to damage the LEDs or circuit board. Road vibration can kill ordinary bulbs over time, but this light uses surface-mount technology (SMT) on its LED board. Each diode is soldered directly to the board for better shock resistance and improved heat distribution. That means the light will keep working reliably even after miles of bouncing down rough roads.
At 2-1/2" in diameter and 1-3/16" deep, this round light mounts neatly into a recessed grommet for a clean, low-profile fit. It accepts industry-standard 2-prong plugs like part # A46PB (sold separately), so wiring is straightforward with just two connections. Use grommets such as # A55GB or # A57GB (sold separately) depending on your preferred mounting style.
